Royal Enfield is all set to expand its classic motorcycle lineup with the introduction of a Royal Enfield Classic 250cc model. This new variant is expected to carry the timeless retro styling of the Classic 350, but with a lighter frame and smaller engine, making it more approachable for young riders and urban commuters.
Iconic Classic Design With Scaled-Down Frame
The Classic 250 will retain the signature styling of its larger sibling, including round halogen headlamps, teardrop fuel tank, peashooter exhaust, and chrome detailing. However, the chassis will be slightly more compact and lighter, making it easier to handle in city traffic and for new riders.
All-New 250cc Single-Cylinder Engine for Daily Use
Royal Enfield is likely to debut a brand-new 250cc air-/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, tuned for refined torque delivery and city-friendly performance. Expect it to produce around 20–22 bhp with a strong low-end grunt — perfect for cruising at moderate speeds and daily commutes.
Modern Features With Retro Elements
While the design will stay retro, the Classic 250 is expected to come with modern tech like a semi-digital instrument cluster, USB charging port, LED taillamp, and possibly Tripper Navigation on top variants. The bike will likely run on spoke wheels with tubed tyres, staying true to its heritage styling.
Lightweight Handling and Improved Fuel Efficiency
With a smaller engine and reduced weight, the Classic 250 is expected to offer better fuel efficiency, less vibration, and easier maneuverability compared to the 350. The suspension will include telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, tuned for comfort on Indian roads.
Disc Brakes With Single-Channel ABS for Safety
The motorcycle is likely to feature front and rear disc brakes, supported by single-channel ABS in the base version. It may also get rear drum brake variants to keep it affordable for entry-level buyers.
Royal Enfield Classic 250 Aims to Be the New-Age City Cruiser
Targeting younger riders and those upgrading from 125–150cc bikes, the Royal Enfield Classic 250 brings the brand’s rich legacy into a more accessible and fuel-efficient package. With its retro looks, smooth ride, and brand value, it’s expected to create a new entry segment for Royal Enfield in 2025.
